Master Breeder and Master Exhibitor

  I   was  raising pigeons and also was a   pigeon judge for 25 years. I developed pigeon lung disease and had to quit.  I have raised silkies for 35 year.

 

  I used to raise Sumatras and Buff Orpingtons. I am a Grand Master Breeder of white silkies, buff orpingtons, and black sumatras.   

  I am also a Master Breeder and Master Exhibitor with the ABA for Silkies. Now I raise only silkies. I raise whites, blacks, blues, splashes, buffs, greys, lavenders, porcelains, partridges, and blue-partridges.

  I also have two human babies: George Jr. 34 and Andrew 31. One dog named Patches (blue heeler/border collie). My wife Elena. And my silkie partner Sherri Humphreys.

  I raise birds for exhibition only and have for many years. After hatching season, I do sell few birds. I only sell a limited amount of birds and on occasion some younger stock.

   I am sorry but I do not sell eggs. My birds are raised for my pleasure and my hobby.

 

  My name is George Mihalik. I am an escape from a banana boat (from Czechoslovakia).

  I have been in the US for 41 years on July 2.

  31 of those years have been in New Mexico (Sandia Park, suburb of Albuquerque).
